New Rechargeable Cordless Chainsaw Sharpener

When I decided to look for a chainsaw sharpener I was disappointed at the range available in New Zealand so decided it was better to source and import a new rechargeable cordless chainsaw sharpener.

Most chainsaw sharpeners need an external power source being either a mains supply plug or a motorbike battery. These options are not always coinvent and with all the battery operated power tools I started searching for something that was cordless and rechargeable.

But it needed to be a good quality and have enough battery life too.

What I found was a lightweight rechargeable cordless chainsaw sharpener that ticked all the boxes;

lightweight rechargeable cordless chainsaw sharpener

Simple to Use – we all know how hard it is to use a normal file, and most powered chainsaw sharpeners require you to remove the chain. This cordless chainsaw sharpener allows you to give your saw’s chain a quick sharpen with the chain still on. I make a habit of doing this every time I fill the fuel, and always when putting the saw away too.

Lightweight – this makes it easy to carry and of course easy to use with just one hand when needed.

Rechargeable – this means you can take this chainsaw sharpener anywhere without needing to hook up to a battery or power supply.

Lithium battery – a Lithium battery gives up to 2-hours sharpening when fully charged. This chainsaw sharpener is quick and easy to use so 2-hours will give you a lot of sharpens.

Copper Motor – with 55W motor and high rotating speed of 20,000RPM which means you can move along the chain quickly.

Angle Plate – this means easy alignment of chain to ensure that you get the right angle every time and keep your chain in good shape for longer.

Look After Your Chainsaw

I’ve done a bit of work with a chainsaw from the days on the farm cutting scrub, pruning and of course getting firewood, to more recently doing work on my lifestyle block and in the garden.

When my father first put me to work with the chainsaws it was always my job to clean them up, sharpen them and make sure that they were ready to be used. At first it was a manual file for sharpening, and then we got a sharpener that connected to a motorbike battery which made life easier.

I have always taken care of my saws and give them a sharpen each time I fuel up, but since leaving the farm that has always been done using a file. It’s not easy making sure that you get the angle right, and I decided to look for an electric sharpener.

That’s when I noticed that anything portable seemed to need a motorbike battery, and now that I’m not on the farm it’s not something that I have.

I’ve now sourced this lightweight rechargeable cordless chainsaw sharpener for myself and got a few extra’s too. If they prove as popular as I expect then I will be getting more.
